The Defence Learning Portal (DLP) is closing at 2359 BST on 3 June 2015. The Defence Learning Environment (DLE) will then become the Defence wide eLearning delivery platform.

Notice to Complete SCORM Courseware
DLP users are to note that progress made in courses for which they are enrolled on in the DLP LMS will not transferred over to the DLE. Therefore in order to avoid having to repeat learning, users should complete all their enrolled courses on the DLP LMS before it is decommissioned on 3 June 2015.

Notice to Take a Copy of Single Learner Records
All personnel who have completed training courses on the DLP are responsible for keeping a record their own learning on the DLP as detailed in 2015DIN07-026. For example users are strongly advised to ensure they have a record of extant mandatory/compliance training. This can be achieved by printing out hardcopy certificates and/or taking screenshots of their learner record. This action must be completed prior to the closure of the DLP at 2359 BST on 3 Jun 15.  No Single Learner Records will be migrated to the DLE.

It is emphasised that it is the responsibility of individual users to retain copies of their own learning records.

Withdrawal of CourseBuilder
The Coursebuilder SCORM authoring tool will be withdrawn from the DLP on 22 May 2015.  This is part of the closure of the DLP service on 3 June 2015.

A central back up of Coursebuilder content will be taken on 6 May 2015.  Course developers will need to make their own local backup of all new content developed from 6 May 15 until the service is withdrawn on 22 May 2015.

The Coursebuilder software was provided through an MOD Enterprise Licence.  This licence is not being renewed; SCORM courseware developers will need to procure their own authoring software either through an appropriate CCS Framework or direct from the supplier.   Suitable applications include but are not limited to CourseBuilder,  Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.
